About us: Director John Dolson has 40 + years of exploration and production experience. In addition to founding DSP Geosciences in 2009, he serves as the Senior Geological Advisor for Delonex Energy in London and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami (Florida). In 2006/2007 he was the Vice President of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and ran for President in 2010. He holds 2 Distinguished Public Service Awards, an AAPG Distinguished Service Award and was featured in 2017 in AAPG's Heritage of the Petroleum Geologists, featuring 101 geoscientists and their backgrounds. He has authored over 85 publications and 3 books. His global experience has given him wide exposure to many plays, basins and techniques, with a long track record of new oil and gas discoveries and break-through play concepts in both mature and frontier basins.
He enjoys mentoring, teaching and bringing opportunities for his talented associates to help with projects at any scale, and in any basin. He has consulted with over 30 companies over the last decade.
About Us
We provide a variety of consulting services, focusing on oil and gas risk assessment through data integration with a regional focus and play delineation. We can do both short and long term projects, but prefer to develop a close working relationship. We provide mentoring and training for less experienced staff through direct consultation.
